Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Yacoin products and services. By connecting a wallet or creating an account, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using any Yacoin product — the website, wallet, staking, bridges, or developer SDK — you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

2. Who may use the services

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
  • You must not be located in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions, nor be on any restricted-party list.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your use of Yacoin complies with the laws of your jurisdiction.

3. The protocol and your responsibilities

Yacoin is a decentralized protocol. Transactions are final and irreversible once confirmed on-chain. You are solely responsible for:

  • Keeping your private keys and seed phrase secure. We cannot recover them.
  • Verifying recipient addresses and contract addresses before sending funds.
  • Understanding the tax implications of your transactions.
  • Any activity that occurs under your connected wallet.

4. No financial advice

Nothing on this site or in our communications constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. YA is a digital asset, and its value can go down as well as up. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Always do your own research before participating.

5. Risks of using crypto

By using Yacoin you acknowledge and accept the following risks:

  • Market risk. The value of YA and other crypto assets can be volatile.
  • Smart-contract risk. Despite audits, software may contain bugs or vulnerabilities.
  • Network risk. Congestion, forks, or attacks on the underlying chain may affect performance.
  • Custody risk. If you lose access to your keys, your funds cannot be recovered.

6. Staking

When you stake YA, you lock it for a chosen period in exchange for a share of protocol revenue. Staked YA cannot be withdrawn early except as defined in the staking interface. Yield is variable and depends on network activity. Slashing may apply if you operate a validator that violates protocol rules.

7. Intellectual property

The Yacoin name, logo, website content, and software are owned by Yacoin Labs or its licensors. The protocol's open-source components are licensed under their respective terms. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or exploit vulnerabilities in the protocol.
  • Engage in market manipulation, money laundering, or sanctions evasion.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without permission.

9. Disclaimers

The services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for losses resulting from factors beyond our control — including network outages, third-party failures, or user error.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yacoin Labs and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the services. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months, if any.

11. Termination

You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or to protect the protocol. On-chain transactions are permanent and cannot be reversed by termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as our services evolve. Material changes will be announced in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Yacoin Labs is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by local consumer-protection law.
